I don't know about who's cheapest. But I can say that Namesilo and Namecheap are very fair priced and super reliable.

My original registrar was Godaddy but then I moved to Namesilo.

They are the best when it comes to cost effectiveness. If you are managing multiple domains at the same time.

I personally use Porkbun. They have one of the most greatest customer care teams.

I am seeing all these registrar provides hosting too. Is it a good idea to go with a VPS with them?

I would suggest that shared hosting is max. Go for a different VPS provider.

Choosing a different and separate registrar means choosing independency. For hosting if you go with the same registrar then there isn't much of independency.
