Basic points for running Adwords PPC campaigns

Here are some which I think right now.

Avoiding negative keywords, using the appropriate keyword matches, grouping keywords perfectly, knowing the competitor, Checking campaign location settings and adjust location based bidding as necessary to improve performance etc.

Good points you have pointed out.
But they are not going to work if you are not quite well monitoring your adword campaigns. Any good advertising campaign have to be monitored closely and make variations if needed.
