Title and H1 tags are completely different things. H1 tag is part of the heading tag and use to represent the title in a webpage and is treated by Google as such. Title is used for crawler purposes. Both are preferred by the search engines for website quality check.

Title is more important make sure you use related phrases in your H1 and H2 tags through out the pages too.
