I am not talking about worthless or garbage comments or spammy ones. I am talking about comment that are well written and thoughtful. Will those tons of comments effect the site's SEO somehow?

No it doesn't effect SEO. But having such comments will definitely increase the authority of your site in the minds of your readers and viewers.

If you don't have spam comments. Then you don't have to worry about them at all.

Hello,
Some blogs may get a slight boost in their search traffic. Comments don't have have a huge impact in search results or traffic.

Well, it all depends on the quality of the comment if the comments on your site are related to your niche then it will add more value and the reader's interest to your site. Here we can say that comments quality wins over the quantity. As far as the SERP results are concerned, if your site is heavily commented then it takes more time to load your site. It may increase website loading time.

Well, yes, they do. Because, in fact, they're so slow to load that most of the time, what you see is that Google doesn't load the content of those comments, and doesn't use them to rank that page.

While extensive comments on a blog post can be engaging for readers, they may not necessarily provide SEO benefits. Comments are not typically considered as valuable or authoritative content by search engines. The quality and substance of the post itself, as well as external backlinks, are ranking signals. However, comments can help increase page load speed if relevant to the topic and add to the overall user experience. So, a high comment count alone may not impact SEO positively. Still, meaningful discussions in the comments section integrating back to the core post content can indirectly support search visibility over time. The focus should remain on publishing great blog posts regularly.

You know, I've pondered that question myself. From what I've gathered, having a bunch of genuine comments on your blog can actually give your SEO a nice little boost. It's like a sign to search engines that your content is sparking conversations and keeping folks engaged.
I've seen it firsthand with some blogs I follow. The more comments they get, the higher they seem to rank in search results. It's all about showing that your content is valuable and resonating with readers.
Oh, and speaking of boosting your blog's visibility, I recently stumbled upon some nifty tips over at appsalon.com.au. They've got some great advice on how to promote your blog and attract even more readers.
