Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on Webkio, and one of the areas I’ve been focusing on recently is rent  a car website builder.

The more I worked on this niche, the more I realized that a car rental website needs much more than a homepage, contact form, and a list of vehicles.

Some of the problems I found interesting are:

- keeping vehicle availability up to date
- preventing overlapping reservations
- handling seasonal pricing
- setting minimum rental periods
- managing security deposits
- defining mileage and fuel rules
- adding optional extras and protection options
- managing different pickup locations
- accepting online reservations and payments
- giving staff a simple calendar for upcoming rentals

What surprised me is how quickly a “website project” becomes part of the actual daily operation of the rental business.

I’m curious what others think, especially anyone who has worked with rental businesses.

What are the biggest problems you have seen car rental companies struggle with online?

Is it getting more bookings, managing availability, pricing, payments, or something else?
