Now here is the thing. I have many plugins which have settings very customized to my needs such as the permalink plugin and all. Now the free themes which I am getting either they are mobile optimized who somewhat create problems with other plugins or not responsive. How can I find a plugin which is responsive and still creates no problems with my plugins??!!

Complex themes will create problems with plugins. Its not new.
Your best bet is to go with a paid theme which will have support with it. Let the support configure and resolve the problems for you.
But if you are not willing to pay for a theme. Then you should go for the theme which are the home production of wordpress itself. Like the twenty-nineteen or twenty-eighteen. Those themes supports all or to atleast it can provide you full on support if any problem rises and they are responsive by default.

limbo is exactly correct. You have to go with the default themes of WP. That will be the best option for you.
We use basically Forest Themes. Have a great a support and they are mobile optimized too.
