Bing Local Search Query

I have a query about Bing's Local Search. Suppose, if I search for say restaurants from a mobile device then it shows the results from my current location. But when I do the same from a desktop from the same city it shows different result. Why is that?

This occurs because your mobile device is optimized for your current location but it seems that your desktop is not. Bing understands the current location or yours by various means and then shows the results. It may happen that your desktop is not properly optimized for example that your desktop's ip address says a different city.
