Fell from from first page of SERP's to the second one!!
#1
We published few articles last week. They suddenly appeared in the first page of Google without much effort. But then after a day or two they fell into the second page. And in that position they are fixed now.

Why this happened? Is there any thing I can o to get the previous rankings back?

It happens sometime because Google SERP's takes some time to evaluate every page. Your page might have been super relevant to the searches so they were appearing in the top position but once google evaluated the pages, they are re-positioned now.

Hi designhub,
It likely means that Google determined that the page wasn’t as good as it thought. I would suggest you to focus on lowering the pages bounce rate by making sure you are providing a good user experience which should include professional imagery, well-formatted content, and a clear next step or call-to-action.

How come a lower bounce rate help it to rank higher?

When a new site or content is crawled and indexed, google give it more importance in the start but it is not the actual position. It will fluctuate and take time to find the actual position. You can call it keyword dancing! after few days the position will be stable!

I don't know the term whether it is called dancing or not. But OP said that it took 2 days to fluctuate. So, my opinion is that its way too early to state anything. SERP's to cement atleast take a week.

Yes, it is early to say anything, especially when unconfirmed updates are going around. people are seeing heavy fluctuations in SERPs.

There are a lot of reasons why a site ranking may drop. but in your case maybe your pages has low quality articles. focus on high quality content. Google can penalize too much low quality thin content.
