Well most certainly you have to build strategic links to the keyword's page.

But it has to be done with extreme precaution and utmost precision. Otherwise, search engine will red flag you for tying to manipulate the SERP's.

Share some more information of your keyword. At this point we can't suggest anything to you specifically.
