Difference between Copywriting & Content Marketing

What is the difference between Copywriting & Content Marketing? If anybody specifically explain the two terms then it will be really helpful.

The basic difference between them is that Copywriting is a promotional element and Content Marketing is an educational one.

Copywriting: Content build for promotion and publicity of one's product or services is known as content copywriting. Copywriting is to persuade customers to do something in the benefit of the product or services providers, such as the sales of them. Press conferences, product seminars are examples of copywriting.

Content Marketing: Content Marketing is a well planned approach in which relevant valuable (content that actually helps end users) content are distributed consistently in order to attract, engage and gain the trust of the customers which in turn can favor the business in a long term basis.

Copywriting is a promotional article which lures the viewers to take immediate actions such as buying the product.

Whereas, content marketing is an article which helps the viewers to gain knowledge in a specific field or topic. The sole objective of content marketing is to deliver the viewers valuable information for free of cost with an intention to gain their trust.

Copywriting is designed to get the reader to take a specific action. For Example Copy-writing is sales pages, infomercials, and direct mail.
