There's been a lot of chatter lately regarding this that good and improved content is ranking better in the Google SERP's after the Marech Algorithm update.
What do you guys think about it?

From what I am seeing that everything is just the same as previous. Maybe content which are of improved presentation are getting a lit bit of more attention but that isn't going to make any huge changes.

I agree with Brian here.
The differences are very small. Unless you have a ton of useless content.

These days anything can happen. Last two days I saw and heard that entire sites have been knocked out of the SERP's.
