Can a large size homepage impact SEO?
#1
In on of my site, the images are the most important of getting traffic. Now I had custom built a homepage highlighting all the important images. But the size of the homepage has become about 5mb. Does this impact my site's SEO?

Although its very large. But unless they don't load or take much time while loading in desktop or mobile devices, I don't thin that they are going to impact your SEO.

I also gotta ask. Haven't you tried compressing those images?

Its the compressed version alone capturing 5mb.

Whoa!! then they are really large. You can also put some images on display and regularly change them that should reduce the size.

Also make sure that they have proper alt texts and descriptions. So, in some case if they don't load atleast the user will know what's the image is about.
