I know its maybe a stupid query but I had to know, are there any certain number of pages that has to be published before we can get ranked in the Google SERP's?

No there arn't any number. One of my blog has only 7 articles(its a new one) and 4 of them are already ranking top at the SERP's.

Nothing like that. Single page site can also rank in SERPs.
The ranking is not depended on the number of pages.
