Can I add a few off topic content in my blog for some extra traffic? Will it effect my site's SEO negatively? They are from relative niche. My main site is about woodcraft and the topics I will be adding are cutting wood and there respective equipments.

Yeah, sure why not. You can add some related niche topics for some extra traffic. It doesn't effect your current traffic.

If its from related niche or any niche that similar to yours then go ahead build content according to it.
