Does changing php version from 7 to 8 speed up wordpres site ?

I am currently on php 7.4

Somebody advised me that if I change to php 8 then wordpress will load faster in it?

Is this real? I mean possible to say the least?

WP is not that complex, so no complex ones I am assuming.
