I which one should I invest creating good link profile or building unique content. After seeing all this update I am really confused.

Both are really important. But in the light of recent events I think you should focus on building in good link profile.

The profile link building can be done only with unique content, both are meant to generate back link to the website.

Both are good for SEO, but personally I prefer building content since that is what audience wants to see. Good content has higher chance to generate more traffic and frequent visitors. Good profile is a nice addition to increase the site's trust.

I agree creating unique content can really build trust. But good link profile is also needed in order to get correct exposure for that content.
