Which one is better way to monetize?

If a site is getting tons of targeted traffic. Then which way is the highest paying way to monetize. Selling ads directly to the publishers or say by affiliate marketing?

Through ads no matter how much high rates you get. There is till a limit of earning but in case of affiliate marketing there is none. So, affiliate marketing will be the most high paying way to monetize.
