I am not using any DS but if I go then I will definitely choose CentOS.

I am using Ubuntu. It doesn't need much of any attention. And also super easy to use.

Commands in the system are also easy to remember and practically it runs itself.

@bsteve Same here Ubuntu.

I would suggest Ubuntu because of their tutorials and thorough knowledge base. Because whenever you run your server you may run into problem. These tutorials are extremely helpful to run your usual tasks.
