the best keyword tool it all depends what you want to do

every tool out there collects the keywords

what separates them is what you want to do with them

everyone always recommends keyword planner

in my opinion this has got to be the worst tool out there for this time period

those search volumes are wrong if not false
if you owned and ranked for those very high search volume keywords that keyword planner shows like I have they never match up

I have confirmed this with many of the top SEO people out there and they have reported similar results, worked back in 2007 but now it is a totally different game

folks that's 10 years of wasting your time since brand dominance in search results

the best keyword tools out there inform you on the competition, who is on page one that you need to compete with

google made brands/authority websites rank page one by default

if you take that premise, how can search volumes even give you a clue of that fact

so if you are having issues getting seen on page one of google
stop using keyword planner and start investigating your opportunities directly from the search results
