I am losing backlinks. The count of my backlinks are falling. What should I do?

You can't just assume that if you create a backlink then it will remain their forever. It may fade away after some time and it occurs due to many reasons. In order to keep a healthy backlink profile you will have to nurture your backlinks & create new backlinks once in a while.

It seems that the origin of your backlinks came from low quality sites that's why they are disappearing due to limited time.

It means the backlinks were present on those pages at some time in the past but when the robots crawled them again they were not present anymore. Simply "lost".Could have been deleted as well.
