Gathering members to create community

Many people have suggested me that to create a group which can actively participate in the forum when its new. But I don't know where to find them. In our niche their are few other forums but in those directly connecting and sending urls are prohibited.

Go for linkedin groups or facebook groups. I am sure you will find some.

Just like what he suggest go for facebook group since it is easier to find some active members there.

The technique which had worked for me everytime is that talking and asking for help from my co-workers. They may be not willing to participate as they have to work for free but they will accept when you make them your partners and share a percentage of the forum.
