Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my personal experience on how to build backlinks, especially if you’re targeting the Swiss market.
In Switzerland, there are sites like map.ch, where you can register your business or website. This is a great starting point for local backlinks. But it doesn’t stop there – platforms like Instagram, Reddit, and other social media channels are also very useful. Sharing valuable content there can naturally lead to more links and traffic.
One important thing I’ve learned is that you can actually search for backlink opportunities on Google. For example, typing something like “Register your business in Switzerland” or specifying cities like Bern or Zürich will show directories, local listings, and other platforms where you can submit your website. From my experience, this method works very well for finding high-quality backlinks.
For my niche – Himalayan products – my website https://www.himalayavibes.com/ didn’t need a huge number of backlinks at the start. What really matters is creating high-quality content. Once you have valuable content, Google naturally starts ranking your site higher, and backlinks become much easier to earn over time.
So, my advice is: start with relevant directories and social media, focus on content, and use Google search to find backlink opportunities in your area or niche. It really works!
Hope this helps others who are starting with backlinks in Switzerland.
