Affiliate Marketing doesn't need SEO, is this true?

We just got into this debate. Is this really possible that without SEO, affiliate marketing can exist?

Well its most certainly possible. SEO is only needed if you own a site and sale affiliate goods from it. But if you just build a landing page for your product and send traffic to it through PPC Campaigns than SEO becomes an invisible element.

If a product needs a blog or a site to support it in order to get sales than obviously it needs SEO otherwise a single landing page which doesn't need SEO so much will be enough.

SEO is still involved in affiliate marketing even it is unnoticeable. Whenever a website is connected there's still SEO to optimize the pages for the target users.
