Stocks and Shares Forum Rules
#1
Welcome to the Stocks and Shares Forum. This community is for discussing stocks, shares, ETFs, IPOs, market news, investing strategies, and publicly traded companies. To keep discussions informative and trustworthy, please follow these rules.

1. This Is Not Financial Advice

All posts represent personal opinions only and should not be considered financial, legal, or tax advice. Always conduct your own research before making investment decisions.

2. No Pump-and-Dump Activity

Do not create threads or posts intended to artificially promote, hype, or manipulate the price of any stock or financial instrument.

3. Be Honest About Your Position

If you discuss a stock that you own or have a financial interest in, disclose your position whenever possible. Transparency helps build trust.

4. Support Your Claims

When making factual claims, forecasts, or valuations, provide reliable sources, financial data, company filings, or explain the reasoning behind your opinion.

5. No Market Manipulation or Insider Information

Do not post confidential, non-public, or illegally obtained information. Content encouraging illegal market activity will be removed.

6. Respect Other Members

Healthy debate is encouraged. Personal attacks, harassment, insults, trolling, and abusive behaviour are not permitted.

7. Stay on Topic

Keep discussions relevant to stocks, shares, investing, ETFs, IPOs, brokers, and financial markets. Off-topic discussions may be moved or removed.

8. No Spam or Self-Promotion

Do not use the forum to advertise paid services, newsletters, Discord groups, Telegram channels, trading signals, referral links, or investment products without prior approval.

9. No Guaranteed Returns

Avoid claims such as "risk-free investment," "guaranteed profits," or "100% winning strategy." Investing always involves risk.

10. Use Clear Thread Titles

Choose descriptive titles that include the company name or stock ticker where appropriate (e.g. "NVIDIA (NVDA) Q3 Earnings Discussion").

11. Report Suspicious Content

If you notice spam, scams, misleading information, or rule violations, report the post instead of engaging with it.

12. Moderator Decisions

Moderators may edit, move, lock, or remove content that violates these rules. Repeated violations may result in warnings or account restrictions.
Thank you for helping build a knowledgeable and respectful investing community.
