Blogger sitemap isn't working

Dear motionz you have to put multiple sitemaps in your google webmaster account.
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
Look at bold text in the above code.
start-index=1 : Refers to the starting number of the post
max-results=500 refers to the limit of posts in that sitemap.
If you have 4000+ posts in your blog then put sitemaps in below manner
sitemap 1: from 1 to 500
sitemap 2: from 501 to 1000
sitemap 3: from 1001 to 1500

It will only increase the crawling rate if you submit it, indexing will be done as per by Google.
