There are no separate tricks. If your site is responsive then its enough no further SEO efforts has to be taken in addition to ranking in desktop SERP's.

One thing to remember that in mobile SERP's first place isn't always the best place. Its better to get second or third place too, sometimes.

Just ask yourself this question when you make search through your mobile. Do you look directly to the first link available? I believe not!!
People searching through mobile devices are prone to look in the second or third position's rather than the first. Its not a made up story. Its fact and a lot of research about this has already proved it.
