Drving traffic from Facebook groups

Three years from now. It was to drive traffic from Facebook groups. Is it still at play?

Try FB sponsored ads, yes they are not free. But with low price you can have ton of traffic.

Closed groups can supply some traffic. But for that you have to be immensely heavy weight in the group and also most of members should know & trust you without any question. I hope you get it what I am trying to say here.
