Making a site responsive, does it effect loading speed?
#1
Making a site responsive for all devices, does it increases the loading time of the page? I mean there is a lot of codes and templates in extra numbers.

It may be a rookie question but I don't know.

No absolutely not. They may even load a little faster as through those codes you have made it more smooth.

Its not entirely correct. It may effect in some cases although it is highly unlikely.

Every site is different in their own way. I will suggest that you better check your site's speed and also mobile usability bu tools like Google PageSpeed Insight instead of asking questions.

I suggest optimize all image and other issue like css for effective site loading speed. Site responsive doesn't affect loading speed upto high extent.

If OP has already made her page responsive then all is taken care of. No need optimize CSS and images separately. Cool
