How to engage opt-in leads? We just bought an email list from a company. Its in the Insurance niche. People looking for car insurance and stuff like that.

From what I am seeing is that already your half the work is done.
You know what your people are looking after so now just provide them that. Go to CPL sites and see what insurance related offers they have and what is reasonable as well as profitable for you. But before sending any offers just make some quick survey emails and/or greeting mails. Because people don't tend to buy from complete strangers.

The most important tool you have for engaging your opt in leads is your own content. You should be taking time to write new content specifically for your email audience to drive them onto your pages and offers. Don't just recycle what you have on the blog or site. Create new content they can enjoy, that is exclusively available via email. For examples of winning email campaigns, check out some of the big sites online like amazon, walmart, ebay, etc. These sites have fine tuned the art of engaging opt ins to increase repeat business.

Creating content won't be enough. Op has to build content according to the audience demand. As, the Insurance niche is quite compact.
