Chartbeat CEO once said. “We’ve long used clicks as the standard for whether something is being read online, and therefore worth an advertiser’s dollars. What’s really worth measuring is attention—and attention is a function of time.”

Well its certainly is true. Attention does matter more than clicks. Just think of the fact that some recent surveyes showed that in the mobile SERP's the pages in the second or third position gets the most of the clicks. The reason is that in mobile devices the first results are shown at the top end which are far from the users and the second or third results are more close to the users and gets more of their attention.

User attention is all that matters. Plenty of visitors may come to your page through clicks but it doesn't mean conversion you must highlight your product correctly through proper positioning and form right in front of them.
