No not necessarily. If a sudden demand cames or something huge happens in the real world then also this type of activity is seen.

Tsunami of bots today. Got traffic spike around 300%.
It can be a glitch to analytics as well.

It's probably due to the update that happened on Monday this week. Semrush is also showing signs.

As the update bubble is passing. Things are cooling down.
30% traffic is there. But it will not stay as I am guessing.
