Don't sacrifice security and quality. It is not ideal to jump into affordable web hosts in which in the long run can lead to many problems such as web site accessibility and, worst, shutting down of web site.

Ask whether the hosting provider offer any kind of guarantee or trial period offer. There are various kinds of satisfaction guarantee policies available and check out the satisfaction guarantee of the provider and take the call accordingly.

Control Panel Ease-of-Use. A user-friendly control panel like cPanel or Plesk simplifies website management. Avoid overly complicated interfaces.

Free Website Migration. If transferring from another host, check if the provider offers free migration services. Manual migration can be complex and time-consuming.

Bandwidth is also critical as it has a tremendous impact on your site’s performance. The more people you have coming in, the more bandwidth your site will require.

I'd normally look for in below order:
- support (technical support is very important),
- value for price (you will get what you pay for),
- uptime and reliability.

If your web host has outgrown its shared web host solution, it may be time to move it to virtual web hosting, which is often seen as a low cost alternative to getting your own dedicated server.
