Just purchased 5 old expired domains who are very powerful. Now what should I do? Should I rebuild them to create a PBN or just 301 redirect them?

Rebuild them its the clever option. If you redirect them then sooner or later your rankings will fall and for now you might end up ranking for the wrong keywords too.

Don't redirect them its a dumb move to play. As per the previous suggestion rebuild them according to your needs.
