I actually don't know what type of blog you are talking about.
But I will say you this that for a small site to make money. Its evident that you go for third party advertising agencies such as Google Adsense. GA is best in the market right now.

Although it depends in your niche and amount of traffic you are getting. As small blogs can get tons of traffic if they are good. So, to say Adsense is your best option. You may also check on BuySellAds if you meet their traffic expectations.
