We published and article a week ago and suddenly it is getting 100's of organic traffic. Where as that blogs' total traffic is within 100 with all the remaining articles.

No certainly its not bad. It happens it may have hit a keyword which has very low competition and very high demand. Its natural. And congrats !! Smile on the traffic.
