Can I hide my online status on Instagram?

[oxanaiv0m]

Is there a way to use Instagram without people seeing that I'm online? I don't really want my followers or people I've messaged to know when I was last active. I've looked through the settings but can't figure out exactly what I need to turn off.

Yes, you can hide it. Go to Instagram Settings, then Messages and story replies, and look for Show activity status. Turn it off, and people won’t be able to see when you’re online or when you were last active.
