Same content in two pages of a single site

If same article is published in two pages of one site then will it create any issue of duplicate content? If yes, then how can it be resolved?

If they are under the same site then there isn't any issue of duplicate content.

Okay, how can I tell Google that which one to rank? And I am guessing that they both can't get ranked.

Try using canonical tags. Its the easiest way to tell google.
