Does spammy snippets effects rankings - mediadrug - 07-02-2015

I have seen a lot of sites that contain spammy snippets. Does Google demote their rankings if it is found?

No Google does not demote them. Google just remove the snippets from them. As the snippets does not effects directly the rankings it only effects the judgement of the users to get more CTR so Google don't think about lowering your rankings. Here is article which says all about it, check it out : https://www.seroundtable.com/google-ric ... 20521.html

One or two will not effect the rankings. But excessive number of them may cause harm. If one or two are present then Google will simple have them removed that's it.
