Google SERP Changes & Algorithm Updates - January 2020 - batman - 01-01-2020

Some of the kw's which lost rankings during the November update are seeing some improvements. If its an update then I will say that the SERP's are improving. Although its too early to state anything.Tongue

I am still not getting it. Why some seasoned webmasters are panicking over this?? This is probably due to New year's Eve and its effects which we are seeing right now.

It will get settled eventually after a day or two.

You are not wrong. Maybe it will settle down. But the reason behind that the webmasters are panicking is the amount of traffic that dropped since the last couple of days.

Usually this time of the year traffic do falls. And its about 20-30%. But in some cases it is witnessed that more than 40% traffic has disappeared. So, even though webmasters are confident still the huge amounts are surely making them nervous.

May be you are right @Paul but I am not seeing any variations. Everything is as usual to me.

I don't know much about SERP's because I haven't been following as everyone is in holiday including me. But from what I am seeing is that strange bot and crawler activity is going on. And some search terms are also showing results (I must say) which are not expected ones.

Apparently a lot of fluctuations are going on specially in Western Europe.

Okay, I am convinced now. Seeing huge variations in Asian traffic.

Around 20% reduction in regular traffic. And is anybody seeing any strange things in webmasters tool? Because my crawl rates are off the charts.

We are viewing too since yesterday. But when it began traffic was fine now its not. Or, maybe its because of the weekend.
