Contextual Link building is the type of link building where backlinks are put in the body of any article or post with general relevant anchor text.
Suppose, you made an guest article about mobile phones and in the body of your post you put a link of your site which is related to that article saying 'read more here or related topic'. Then it will be contextual link building.

Links which came from text type anchors are called textual links. For example, links from the author's bio of guest blogs, forum signatures etc.

Contextual Link building means backlinks taken from the middle of the post or article with an anchor text for link building.

Contextual link building is also one type of link building which intended to be more 'natural' in the eye of Google.

I don't agree these are only natural in their eyes. Any kind of relevant link is natural.

In contextual link building the links are made on keyword/ keyword phrases that are present in text. When a user clicks on such hypertext he/she comes on the linked page.

And also too much contextual link building is not useful for ranking a website. I avoid it.
