Step one will be to find out if you need these low-quality pages. This isn’t one-time maintenance; I’d recommend that you’d do this, for instance, once a year – depending on how much content you write per year, obviously. If you are using a content management system, it pays to check your first posts, from way back. If you find any posts that have no use anymore because they don’t touch your current business anymore, it is probably safe to remove those.

You can just disavow those links and webpages to de-index them in Google searches.

If you have low quality pages in the index (this mostly covers “thin content” pages and/or pages with duplicate content) this means those specific pages, as well as your entire site, will have a reduced quality score.
Step 1 – Understand What An Indexed, “Low Quality” Page Actually Is.
Step 2 – Find These Indexed, Low Quality Pages in Google
Step 3 – Fix These “Problem Pages”

Robots.txt is a basic text file which works when uploaded to the root directory of website. Its the best way to tell all or any search engine to not crawl and index pages/directories or any other resource on the website. If any page/directory is written against Disallow syntax then it will not be crawled by that search engine.
