Hello,
currenlty have a AMD Ryzen 9 7950x @ 4.5GHz (16 cores + HT) and 64 GB of ram. However, when I get about 250 users the site crawls and some users get an error 500 page. I have tried MySQL optimization and I use litespeed. I am sure it can get a bit better with better optimization but I need to have it up and running by Nov 1 and so I just want to get a big server for now or maybe a server for website and another for database.
I am looking for something with 40 cores and 128 GB Ram, I run DirectAdmin now but don't really care about the control panel because there will only be two sites on it.
Any recommendations? Any reliable dedicated server host?

It is a wrong perception, however, that cheap web hosts entail poor quality of services because there are really, indeed, reputable web host providers that are offering affordable or cheap web hosting packages.

Servers from hostingsource.com and legionbox.com are worth trying due to their top-notch services.
Good hosting companies provide good servers at inexpensive prices, and I am satisfied. The design of their websites is really simple, and you can use it without any problems, it's easy enough to pay for it, nothing prevents me from doing it.

You no longer need a programming guru to set up your site. You no longer need to be a computer guru to get a web site posted. Web hosting service has vastly improved since the beginning days of the internet.

Each business has different web hosting requirements. Ask the hosting provider regarding the kinds of hosting environments they provide? Also, ask them regarding their policies in case you want to scale up or down.
