Link exchange is no more beneficial as they are considered link trading between websites by Google. They are done only to exchange traffic. Google doesn't pay value to link exchanges.

Be careful if you exchange links because linking to bad neighbors can do you a lot of harm.

A link exchange is a way to create backlinks and increase search engine ranking, but backlink exchanges are harmful and not suggested by Google.
Link Exchange is not a good practice It is a black hat SEO technique that Google does not allow any black cap technique to follow

Yes, it's helpful sometime and also it can be a cause of negative impact, infact these are the easiest way to boost traffic on your website. But according to Google, it created negative impact your site ranking. Backlink exchanger offers other sites to add their links, and in exchange, those sites add links of others. This is a negative purpose to create a reciprocal link program.

May be it will be Helpful sometimes but google consider this link exchange as just for traffic it wont add up the value to the SEO and for the ranking.
