Mevspace Review - teeenytiny8 - 07-11-2024
After looking at a quite number of offers from Hetzner, OVH etc. I looked into Mevspace frankly speaking. Since I was looking for a custom setup so I mailed them with my query, they responded quickly and after a few hours of conversation we came to an agreement.
I made the payment without any delay. They delivered the server within reasonable time alright. Then it came to my attention that the server they delivered is on Debian and not on CentOS or AlamaLinux. I asked them to reinstall it. At first they acknowledged the problem and said they will do it. But then after 2 hours they informed me that they couldn't because my setup was custom.
I got the setup but on Debian. It is fine. I just need every now and then help to run basic updates and upgrades.
So, my suggestion to yall will be make sure the OS first while getting a custom setup.

I am surprised that you didn't get any offers suitable for you in Hetzner or OVH. If you ask them, they can also arrange custom servers.

I was specifically looking for cheap IPs.

Many companies do provide custom setups but that also include OS. I am surprised you didn't ask for it.

On the other hand many comes just with the name of the OS and simple server specs.
