Google SERP Changes & Algorithm Updates - May 2023 - cc1 - 05-01-2023
Our Western traffic is gutted. Don't know what is the reason. Since yesterday traffic is down. And o it's not because of any Holiday.
These numbers are not expected.

Today traffic surged in the tniche.
Around 20% increase since the update. Communities are also doing great except for the spam traffic.

For communities I will suggest to ask @batman
And true traffic has surged but I am not so sure. That it will stay. In previous cases the ad revenue fell when the traffic rose.

Huge drop today US 30% UK 20%.
G has screwed up all of the SERP's now. Sponsored results only on my end. G has either entered any weird AI model or it is attempting any new adventure to show up to the Wall Street.

@white knight Many are saying it is the economy but I highly doubt it. Positions of the kw's are unchanged and even if traffic is slow still many pages are loosing almost all of the traffic which is not at all normal.
@bsteve @joycer Spam traffic will be present in forum. You will have to learn to manipulate them correctly.

Traffic is extremely fluctuating in my end. Hotels niche is on a roller coaster.
Don't know what to expect. ecpm rates wise. GA4 migration is another headache on top of that.

Many are ending up leaving GA for good.

Was it really an update or was something else ?
Weird long tail kw's are ranking high. A kw jumped from 60 to top overnight.

From what I am seeing that kind of jump only occurring for those who actually deserves it and nothing else.
