Which can be the best option to drive traffic to one 'e site? The Social Media channels where are plenty of groups to drive traffic from or, blogging in wordpress or blogspot sites which can rank & get you referral traffic. Share your opinions.

Well if you are looking only to drive traffic and not in terms of SEO then I will suggest you should give more attention to social media as they are pretty easy to handle and also needs much more less time and effort. But here comes the other thing why don't you combine the powers of social with blogging? They don't have any competition between them. If you add up them in your promoting efforts you will only gain more and more traffic.

Social Media Channels are good for instant traffic and blogging in web 2.0 sites is good for long term traffics. Both have their own importance I don't think that there is any competition between them.

Both are important, well know for a fact that social media nowadays is governed by a lot of users whom you can have as potential client while for blogging you are using it to give your viewers the idea on what type of service or product do you offer. Might as well do both since it contributes on traffic and ranking.

Its better to use both mediums for driving traffic because you got to have all the possible channels to reach your target audience and become effective in the field.
