How to get activity in a new forum which has just a handful of members? Share some thoughts here please.

First of all, activity creates activity in a forum. People don't like an empty forum. At first create content. A ton of content that attracts the visitors. Stay online all day long, create discussion, tutorials, how to's, review topics, topics on current trends etc.
Its always hard to start a forum and keep it going but don't loose patience. IT may take some time but you will succeed if you work hard and intelligently.

Create content as much as you can. Hot and trendy discussions that creates incentives to the visitors to became members and post always works fine.

Create as much as incentive articles, topics and discussions. And not only by creating it think that that's it outreach it to the proper audience via social media.
