RE: Backlinks to homepage or other pages, query? - Vinayparmar - 10-08-2026
I would build backlinks to both the homepage and relevant internal pages, depending on the context.
Homepage backlinks can help people discover the brand, but linking directly to a useful blog post, guide, or service page is often more helpful for someone looking for a specific answer.
For example, if a website has published a detailed guide that answers a common question, earning a relevant backlink directly to that guide makes more sense than always linking to the homepage.
I would focus on natural link placement and page relevance rather than trying to maintain a fixed homepage-to-internal-page backlink ratio.
