I am willing to monetize a new blog of mine. It is getting 1000 organic visits as an average per day. Should I go direct ads selling or use some advertising networks? Anybody any tips.
It totally depends on your niche is how big that 1000 visits per day is going to matter. Well, in general case scenario I will suggest you to go for an ad network such as Google Adsense as you are monetizing it for the first time. Observe it for a some time, see how much they are paying you for CPC or CPM, what is your RPM? Then by collecting those information you will learn that if you go for direct selling ad spaces then how much you can charge your customers.
I don't think that 1000 visits is so much good for direct ad selling. Let give it time to grow to atleast 3to 4k then go for direct ad selling. Till then analyze your monetizing other options such as selling affiliate products or go for google Adsense as Paul suggested.
If you are totally unique in your niche then you can go for direct selling ads. See what your competitors are doing not only for monetizing but also how much traffic they getting.

3K-4K visitors is what's considered good? Wow, looks like I've got a lot of work to do. Big Grin From my experience Adsense is extremely hard to get approved. Even after doing so, I haven't earned any thing however it isn't something I've actively pushed. I would love to hear some success stories if you guys have any with this.
