All things are not adding up with the traffic. When there should be rise there is fall in traffic and when we don't expect much traffic, there is a steep rise.

And also the bot activity has gone off the charts recently. Specially in the news niche.

Yesterday traffic pitted terribly. And today it's not bad. But then again nothing can be confirmed because its weekend.
Our discover traffic is really down since the last 4-5 days.

Anyway conversion rate are really down this week. Over all around 20% less CTR in ads.
For us Discover traffic is like this since the May update. Yeah, it recovers some times but then just gets downed like a usual thing.
Saw an article in Search engine roundtable. Barry is reporting that there may be an update going on.

But I highly doubt it, the recent spikes and falls were more of a hourly event. And the SERP's did come back after some time, I mean the usual bad which it is since the May update.
Google ads is surprisingly good since the last 2-3 days. Getting much needed targeted visitors which are responsible for sales. But the CTR is not so good, many false clicks are being hit.

Since sales are happening so I don't mind false clicks.
Yes, but getting a ton of referral spam and also plain direct spam traffic as well.Tongue
Many are saying that Google can be sending traffic to your sites but you won't even know it. Why? Because they are mostly appearing in GA as direct traffic.
